So how do you buy a place in New York City?
New York City is a wonderful and exciting city, most people after visiting the first time feel the need to return time and time again. Other people fall in love the city and want to stay there. Others move there because they want to further their business career. Or their modeling career? Others just move there because they wanna be part of it… New York, New York.
The only way to truly be a New Yorker, is to have a New York City address. There are plently of home ownership options, but you really need to figure out why you are buying a home in New York City before you decided what kind of option. So how to you get yourself a New York City address? And what kind of New York City address should you have?
Firstly do you want to live in the city? There are plenty of New York City addresses that are quite suburbian. You can have roomy home without spending millions of dollars, all you have to do is venture into the boroughs. How about a New York City address in Queens, or Brooklyn? Brooklyn is fast becoming a popular spot for Manhattaner’s to move to. Brooklyn is the kind of place that is old enough to have cultural sites and beautiful brownstone walk ups, but you can afford a three bedroom with a backyard instead of a one bedder that smells sort of like curry.
That’s not to say you don’t have options in Manhattan, it is just that the Manhattan is all about location, so you will get less for the same money, but you will get triple the entertainment and location. After all in the heart of Manhattan all you need to do to amuse yourself is look around.
